2013 CABARET FRINGE FESTIVAL PROGRAM UNVEILED – TICKETS ON SALE
The 6th annual Cabaret Fringe Festival will kick off Adelaide’s winter cabaret season on June 1 with an entertaining month-long/city-wide program celebrating the art form through performances ranging from musicals and variety shows to comedy and contortion.
The 2013 Cabaret Fringe Festival runs from June 1- 29 and this year’s program, officially unveiled last night (April 24) at a VIP Launch at La Boheme, features an entirely South Australian artist line-up – with 40 shows hosted at 14 venues across Adelaide and as far afield as McLaren Vale.
Founded in 2008, the Cabaret Fringe Festival is an open-access event which attracts a broad range of performers and aims to complement the booming cabaret landscape in Adelaide by providing a platform for established and emerging cabaret artists to present their work.

- Legend of the Snowmen by Mark Seymour. It is story of young guys working in asbestos removal who take risks with their health. They get well paid and use the money from this dangerous work to buy hotted up cars. The lyrics are based on research Donna Jackson did for the script of DUST. Here Mark Seymour has turned it into a rockin tune performing it with his band The Undertow. In the production DUST it is performed live on electric guitar with acrobatics and a chorus of 20 people. You will hear it is up tempo and has a sense of humour which reflects the style of the production.
